Ms. Gina Mckinney
Gina is originally from the Northeast Georgia area and obtained her BS and MS degrees in Food Science with a focus on Meat Science from the University of Georgia. Gina’s background research was on producing low fat beef patties that used oat flakes and water in leu of additional fat. Gina’s current role is as the manager of the Analytical (wet) Laboratory of the Meat Science Technology Center. Gina’s work mainly focuses on red meat quality and works closely with students to help train them in research methodology.
